Product Requirements
For WebADM and its applications, as well as Radius Bridge, your system should match the following requirements:- A dedicated server computer or Virtual machine with Linux (see below for supported distributions)
- 1 GHz processor (multi-core & multi-thread processor is recommended)
- Both 32 and 64 bit chips are supported
- 2GB RAM memory
- 200MB disk space for installation files
- Network access with DNS integration
- A local or remote LDAP directory server (OpenLDAP, Novell eDirectory or Active Directory)
- A local or remote SQL database server (MySQL, PostgreSQL...)
- Outbound Internet access for checking versions, connecting SMS gateways and sending emails (for OpenOTP)
- A local mail transfer agent (Sendmail / Postfix)
- NTP time synchronization
- Firewall inbound open ports: TCP 80, TCP 443, TCP 8080, TCP 8443, UDP 1812
For small and mid-size organizations, all components can be installed on the same server.
Yet, for large-scale installation it is recommended to install the components separately.
The listed components can by splitted for security, failover or load balancing reasons:
- WebADM Aminstration Console (one or more instances)
- Web Services Server (one or more instances)
- WebApps Server (one or more instances)
- WebADM PKI Certificate Authority (one instance only)
- WebADM Distributed Session Manager (one instance only)
WebADM and Applications (Web Services and WebApps) run on any Linux system based on Glibc >= 2.4.
Recommended Linux distributions are:
- Redhat Enterprise (Recomended: RHEL 5.x / 6.x)
- Centos (Recomended: Centos 5.x / 6.x)
- Novell SuSE
- Debian / Ubuntu Server
